I assisted a friend installing Photoshop CS6 on her MBA 2013 (13"/i7/8/256).

While trying it out, the display starts to flicker - vehemently.

Turns out several other MBA owners (2013 only) have the same issue (Apple discussions, Adobe forums, Adobe forums #2, Adobe forums #3).

Basically Apple says it's an Adobe issue, Adobe returns the issue to Apple.

Changing the resolution to second highest solves the issue, and some users have reported that upgrading to Mavericks also solves the issue.

So - what do you think of this?

I had this issue with my computer, or very similar.

Open PS and go to

Edit>Preferences>Performance...>Look at bottom right and uncheck "Enable OpenGL Drawing"

This appears to be happening on other Photosohp versions even CS 4. I have the new CC and it does the same thing!
