iOS 7 calendar issue

I couldn't seem to see my previous events in the calendar anymore. It's syncing in iCloud but still nothing shows up for past events like a meeting I went to last year. However when I log into iCloud.com it's there in my calendar. What's the solution here?

mail, calendars, contacts > scroll down to calendars > sync > select "all events"

I already did that. Nothing happened.

try rebooting? and are you sure all calendars are showing on your mobile device? you can turn the individual calendars on and off.

Did that too. Still no.

Try deleting and then adding your iCloud account. That has fixed syncing issues in the past for me.
