I got curious, so I tested my connection (use Speakeasy, it's the simplest test I found) and I am very happy with my download results, it's the upload results I don't like, but anyways, I'm just curious to see what others connections are.

Here's the test: SpeakEasy Speed Test

My nearest server was 3000 miles away ;) Upload speed is odd since it was hovering at 240 or so during the test and then suddenly dropped when it hit 100%

I'm hoping to get BE broadband in the next month or so which is offering up to 24Mbps depend on close to your exchange you are. At 600m, I'm hoping for good things though!

i (my parents) pay $27/month for 1.5mbps down and 384kbps up. for only $10 more we can get 3mbps down and 512kbps up--we're prolly doing that when the current contract expires. this is with sbc yahoo dsl.
anyway, onto the speed test:

I used NYC too. :) I'm on Pipex 1Mb, it's £19.99 a month, but capped at 2GB downloads.

I've got a package deal - cable (~200 channels plus DVR) and internet from Comcast for $90/month. Used to be $70 for all that plus the HBO lineup, but my one-year deal ran out.

Kind of disappointing seeing as how Comcast claims 6Mb down.

We can't get Broadband here, only dial-up and have to pay €26 for 180 hours.:(

OnSpeed Result:
Download Speed: 40 kbps (5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1539 kbps (192.4 KB/sec transfer rate) Can that be right?

Without OnSpeed Result:
Download Speed: 38 kbps (4.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 69 kbps (8.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
