Newbie here. Just received a Ipod for Xmas. I primarily play my Ipod in my car hooked up to the cars stereo system via AUX inputs. I get pretty bad battery life. On average, I play my ipod maybe 2-3 hrs, before a charge is needed. I charge my ipod via USB on my computer. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for any suggestions.

That's pretty bad. Even if you're playing at high volume and with the backlight on, it should get a bit better than that. Has it always been this bad? Maybe take it back to Apple. In the meantime, check out the various cigarette lighter iPod power adaptors on the market. It's better for your iPod to run from one of these than from its own battery in the long term.
