Is there anything equivalent to irfanview for the Mac?

Not that I've been able to find yet.... More than irFanview, I wish there was something like Paint.net for Mac... I do not need or want the complexity of PS, yet Paint.net does so much more than something like Seashore...

On the surface, they look pretty similar. However, IrfanView is a fantastic batch processing tool. I wish there was something similar for OS X, really, it's pretty much the only program I miss since I switched from Windows. And running it in Parallels/Bootcamp just isn't feasible, since I'd first have to copy the folder to the bootcamp partition, process it and then copy it back, which is waaay too much hassle and waaaay too much of a chance of something going completely wrong.
 
somebody should port some linux pic viewers to mac, or whatever.

maybe try irfanview through crossover?
 
There used to be ImageViewer, but it looks like that has been discontinued, GraphicConvertor is probably the best bet.
 
I have exactly the same question and want to know if there is anything very similar to Irfanview for the Mac. Have just bought a new Core i7 iMac, love it, but am having trouble finding software equivalents that only run on PCs.

Does anyone know of an alternative?

Am relatively new to the forum - is it better to dig up old threads like this to avoid repetition, or to start new ones?

picmonkey is a pretty good free photo editing software. It has some of the same attributes of photoshop. I've used many of the mac photo editing programs and found that most of them don't edit the way photoshop does. I like picmonkey.
