O operator macrumors regular Jun 14, 2007 #5 I've installed and used SMF twice, and I like it. It's also free which is a bonus. If you dont' mind paying a license fee, then get vBulletin - it's the best forum software. (macrumors use vBulletin)

I like this one too, it is pretty easy to use. I use Phorum because it is so easy to edit the look of if you know a little PHP and CSS.
