Limewire

Anyone use Limewire, I used it a lot on Windows and had no problems.

But do not want to use it on mac if there is something better.

I use it in os x and dont' have any issues. Mind you I don't use it often, not because there are better programs, just because I've never been a heavy p2p user.

Personally I like Cabos, and it connects to the Limewire network so I suppose it's really all the same...

When Limewire wasn't a universal binary, I switched to Frostwire. It's almost exactly the same as Limewire, but I think it's a little better.

I've been using the PPC version for heck knows how long. Only realised it'd gone Universal today. 😀

Don't use it much, only for the few standalone items I can't find using Azureus.

Limewire really isn't that good...I use transmission or azureus mostly

I don't like Limewire now at all. I mostly use Google's blog search to find what I'm after 😉 If you want a P2P programme I think SoulseeX is pretty good.

Is there a way to sync limewire downloads on my iPod to my new iMac? I read somewhere that it needs to verify content was purchased?

I used to use Frostwire, but when I upgraded to Leopard it quit connecting 🙁

So now when I need to download anything from P2P I open Ares Galaxy in Parallels and download it from there. I wish Ares Galaxy was developed for OS X, and not that crap they consider to be it in Poisoned 🙄

IMO limewire is excellent. almost always find single items, but bittorrent for larger things is definitely better. killer dl rates with limewire, like over 300kbps consistently.
