Macbook Air SSD upgrade possibilities

I am preety sure that Apple is using this as their 64 gb SSD from Samsung.

It is the only out there with 1.8 inch form factor and 64 gb size.

Looking for this model, found few places that sell these but not in stock (I bet Apple bought the whole bunch!!)

This place sells $962. Cheaper than $999 charged by Apple.

Knowing Apple, they like to really, really overcharge on upgrades (memory, hard drive, etc) to up their margins on product sold. I have no doubt that this Samsung module will 60-70% of the current price by summer.

I think this is a good option instead of buying the SSD option now (of course unless you are price insensitive).

Price will undoubtedly drop but not nearly as soon as you think. Don't look for SSD prices to drop for at least 2-3 years. Blue Ray is still quite expensive and it's been out for quite a while. Until something becomes mainstream and everyone is buying the prices for the SSD's won't drop much.

Also the link you provided was only $38 cheaper. Apple is hardly marking it up. For the $38 difference I would prefer to buy it built-in from Apple.
