iTunes error code (-4)

I tried downloading a movie a few minutes ago, and I got the error code (-4). I later tried to download a song and got the same results. How do I fix this? Thanks.

iPhone 3G iTunes -4

I have the same problem. Got an iPhone 3G and im activating it. I had iTunes error -9838 and now I have error -4. Any ideas what this is?

Same error here. I'm guessing it just means the servers are swamped.

Yep, I tried updating my firmware, and it locked up the phone, and the error message on itunes popped up.

Well, at least this in an improvement...

It used to be that there was no error code for me. At least now I'm getting -4. Try googling it; I found the result that way. 😉

-4 is server timeout.
