Can anyone point me to a font that has the W as two overlapping V's?

Heavier than Book then the overlapping V's are dropped. If I remember correctly.

as a cheating method (yes I know its not ideal) you could always adjust the character spacing if the font you want doesn't do the style you're after 🙂

I've just been playing with two VV's! Makes some interesting Keynote Transitions.

Funny thing is that I've just done the same for a client's project just recently... A bit of a hack but it works.
