Hola!

I'm looking for a benchmarking tool (free if possible) to benchmark USB keys.

Somebody knows one?
Thanks!

Yeah, sorry 'bout that! In French they are "clés USB" so I basically translated "clé" to "key"...

No ideas, but be sure to post your results here later. I need a 16gb USB thumb drive:D

For now, I only have the Sandisk Ducati 4Gb, but I plan to test out A-Data, OCZ and possibly other brand.

I already have tools for Windows (my work laptop), but I also want to test them out under Mac OS X since USB speed is very dependant on the hardware and driver used (I read that somewhere so I wanted to see it with my own eyes).

Hmm... Xbench is actually freeware (http://www.xbench.com/)
And does test any drives (fixed or USB).

I used it and have gotten the following results with the Sandisk Ducati 4Gb USB drive:

Sequential Write: 16.70 MB/sec
Sequential Read: 20.79 MB/sec
Xbench Sequential Result: 9.19

Random Write: 2.45 MB/sec
Random Read: 20.78 MB/sec
Xbench Random Result: 1.58

Not bad for a drive advertised as 20 MB/sec read/write!
