Im looking into buying a new harddrive for my macbook pro 17" at least 300 GB
looking into something thats about 500 Gb or 1 TB but i still want good speed also which is more reliable

already searched didnt find this in the other topics

Thanks in advance

well you have several options.... first, i would wait until at least jan. 5th to purchase a 17" MBP. They are going to be upgrading them on that date. Second.... If you want to have wicked speed you have several options....

320GB hard drive @ 7200 rpm
2nd 320 GB hard drive @ 7200 rpm in an optibay enclosure (google MCE Tech)

you set those up in a Raid 0 and it'll be ridiculous.

personally i would go for that option. or just throw a 500 gb hard drive in it from western digital and call it a day. Don't expect to get these options from apple though.
