iPod charger compatibility

I was given an ipod charger with the model number A1102 - its a USB charger. I'm wondering if this is compatible with a 5th gen video ipod and/or an ipod touch? I tried looking it up on apple's site but haven't been able to find confirmation. I was hoping that since its USB it should work.....no chance of frying my ipod if I use this is there?
