Numbers '09 Tax Formular help?

Does anyone know how to set a Formula in Numbers '09 so that 20% can be found of a total amount?

In the UK we have to pay 20% as Tax and I want to know if it can worked out by Numbers automatically. It seems quite an important function, as most people pay Tax, so I carn't understand why its so hard to work out.

Any help would be GREAT!

just type =0.2*Cell in whichever cell you want the answer in.

where Cell is the reference to whatever Cell contains your total.

Sadly though I get an error message in the cell "Formula contains Syntax Error"

Ok, suppose that you have you Total in cell A1, and you want to put 20% of that total in A2, so you would highlight A2 and then in the formula box type

=0.2*A1

However when I changed the cells I wanted displayed in my pie chart, it says that 17% rather than 20%? Does that make sense?

Without seeing your spreadsheet I cant really determine what it is displaying and whether it's correct.

I worked it out and its to the right amount irrespective of the pie chart.
