i want to buy this domain and i would use godaddy.com but for this domain they want a lil more than $20 and i would like to get it for about $7 where do you guys buy your domain names??? I don't need hosting i have my own server farm for that

http://www.namecheap.com have always been good for me. But if it's an unusual extension you'll always pay a lot more than .com, .net and .org.

i know that a .com can be alot, but i want a .me and godaddy wants to charge $20-$25 and i think that is a rip off and that is without the hosting

No, you're confused. .com, .net and .org are the cheap domains. The others are the ones that can become expensive. Particularly some of the newer ones. If you want a .me domain, you're going to have to pay that for it. 🙁
 
1&1 has a special going on right now. I just bought a couple domains that I'll need soon yesterday.
