iPod touch iPod Touch white lines on screen

Hi, this is a bit of an odd problem.

My iPT 2G (5 months old), and when it is on, and I turn it off then on again straight away, the screen flickers with white lines across it (over the entire screen).

If I make a genius bar appointment, what are they likely to do?

if it's under warranty they will send it in and fix it for free, as long as you didn't smash it up

Yeah, it's still in good physical condition.

What I don't like though is the prospect of not having it for over a week or so.

I have narrow horizontal white lines on the whole screen of my ipod touch. how would u fix it, cause i dnt have warranty anymore...

£80 for a new screen from Apple................or just buy one for £25 off internet and install it yourself, thats what i done.
