Hi I have many albums which I imported into itunes years ago.. I now want to import them again (from CD) but at a higher bitrate...
When i re-import them will i lose all the individual song data - ie play count, ratings etc?

If the CD's title and track listing appears exactly as it did when first imported, then re-importing should keep all your meta data intact, including the playcount and original date when the files were added to the library. You usually get a warning asking you if you wish to replace the files.

However, if you've changed any of the file names, album title etc after first importing them, then they won't replace the original files, which can be occasionally frustrating. If that happens, play counts can be edited by using this AppleScript if you're using iTunes on a Mac.
