Ok, so i just bought a mini display port to hdmi adapter, an HDMI to HDMI cable, and an audio cable for my 2008 unibody macbook (Snow Leopard). I've been trying to use my 26" 720p Sanyo http://us.sanyo.com:80/LCD-Televisions/720p-26-LCD-HDTV as a monitor to display my computer so I can watch things that I have on my computer. When I plug it into HDMI one like I'm suppose to, it doesn't work- but you see static and it flickers sometimes. Was I only suppose to get mini display port to DVI then DVI to HDMI? Thanks

Notes: If i plug it into the second HDMI adaptor( doesn't say DVI) and set it to 720p then i get a fuzzy picture that is displayed correctly (You can see the entire status bar)

Basically i want to know if the mini display port only allows it to be converted to DVI or VGA, and then HDMI.
