Send Mail to the menubar

Hey all, just wondering if it's possible to have Mail open in the menubar, and not in the dock? I want Mail open all the time but I don't like having too many things in the dock. Setting the dock to auto-hide isn't an option 🙂 Thanks.

Thanks for that. Is there some pref/plist I can edit to stop the dock icon appearing?

Yes. However, bear in mind that while this hack is active you won't be able to access Mail's menus.
