My macbook makes so much noise - Fan?

Hi,

I have a black macbook and the fan drives me crazy. It is always making noise. Is there anyway to stop the fan? Is it dangerous for the fan to be off? It becomes really hot whenever I use it. Is that normal? What can I do about it?

You can manually control the fan speed by downloading smcFanControl for Mac. Also, try a SMC Reset to see if that might be the issue.

You think it's hot now turn off the fan and see how hot it gets. DON'T turn it off...
