Spirit issues

A friend JB'd with Spirit on a Mac. Out of fear a day later, he restored, attempting to un-JB. Now he wants it back, but the iPod Touch stays on "Restoring in Progress" after clicking "Jailbreak!" in Spirit. Ideas? BTW, we also restored a second time.
