Love the iPad 3G but can't figure out why it can't stay connected to 3G when it's freely available. So many times it only shows Edge but if I go into Airport mode and then turn it off I reconnect to the network with 3G full bars. Seems like the iPad gets "lazy" when it's not being used and goes with Edge instead of 3G.

You are probably in-between towers would be my guess. Sometimes happens with the phone. Cellular is not a perfect science. 😉
