How many bars show now before you death-grip it, though?

It's funny how their will always be people that bitch no matter what happens.
This board still amazes me. People are complaining about this?
This is a GOOD thing. Apple's been lying to us with their bars for years. They're finally going to start telling us the truth about the signal we have. That's GOOD.
But people are complaining because it doesn't fix the hardware flaws? Guess what, it doesn't make burritos either! Or walk your dog!
So? It's still a positive change, even if it doesn't fix all your problems.
You know 2 million people? Awesome for you.
and I have YET to have any problems with call reception!
What the hell is all of this about, and why has it become a nationwide issue?
so far as I can tell, a few cranks who probably work for Nokia are posting flames about their competition, and the rest of the world is eating it up.
I'll repeat, I've had my iPhone4 for almost a month now, and use it daily, with NO, ZERO, NADA, NILL, NOT ONE iOta of signal problems!
If someone could explain to me what exactly the modem update does...help a newbie out....
I don't care about the height. (Is it different? I can't even tell.)
And also funny how there will always be Apple cheerleaders, no matter what happens.

My phone works perfectly and I don't work for Apple. I just don't bitch and gripe like a 3 year old who get's his/her pacifier taken away.

It's funny seeing the "I don't have this problem" people still shouting about it.
The antenna problems are a design flaw, and thus every phone has it. You do not have a special version of the phone, even if you haven't seen this problem. Stop kidding yourself. All the phones have an antenna flaw.
Nope... you just bitch at the people bitching about their non-functioning iPhone 4's....hehe
Why can't we all just be friends?
You surely must be an unlucky group. My experience is so different. Seven of my coworkers, my wife, my son, son in law, daughters (3) all have iPhone 4s. Maybe we should head for Las Vegas because we must be very lucky. Not one of us has any of those problems you and your friends have. About these many folks you know who all have these issues, where do you live? Could it be you are not in an AT&T area? Something is funny there.I dont recall saying I do. But dont you find it odd and a little bit more of a coincidence that it's not just one or two phones of my friends phones, but all.
Are we all just unlucky?
As far as I can tell, a few lucky people live somewhere with great reception and therefore have no problems with their iPhone 4s, and also have no compassion for those of us who do.
have a look on the Apple forums, they closed one thread as It had too many posts, another is now open, many many people are having problems with the proximity sensor turning the display back on, causing the phone to "face dial"
Update: Early reports indicate no change in the reception loss experienced by some users.
