hope this post is allowed here... if it isnt forgive me.

how do i burn a vid? its avi? i need to transfer it to cds. its viewed on divx. i have never tried to burn a vid before so thats why im asking. right now im using a pc... windows... not mine (thank God).

As long as you have the codecs installed for Quicktime to play it, Toast can convert it to DVD, VCD, or SVCD. If you need an app to change formats check out ffmpegX , it also has tools to convert what you have in to DVD, VCD, SVCD images. HTH.

Are you trying to make a CD that you can play it a DVD player, or just trying to put the file onto a CD? If you just want a copy of the file, you'll need Nero (or Easy CD, but I recommend Nero). It's been a while since I last used it, but you should just be able to drag the video file into Nero and press Go.
