On iOS 3.1.2 I used to have a custom dock, which basically replaced the old "grate" dock with the lockscreen "slide to unlock" black bar. I did this by manually replacing some files so I didn't have to use winterboard.

Is this still possible to do in iOS 4?

And if so, do you know where the files are in iOS folder structure?

Thanks. :)

Yes, you can do this without using winterboard. SSH into the phone:

/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/SBDock@2x.png

Just remember to make a complete backup of the Springboard.app folder before you do this! :)

Is he talking about the dock or the slide to unlock graphic?

Both. :)

The Dock info has been greatly helpful, thanks guys.

If anyone can remind me where the slider graphic is, that would also be helpful. Thanks again!

Edit: Didn't see the 3rd post. Nevermind.

Thanks guys!
