Hi All,
When you forward or reply to an email, it indents the previous text and puts a line down the left side for each time it is forwarded or replied.

Can this be turned off on ipad or iphone?

No it cannot be turned off - at least I don't know how. It "quotes" the reply when you respond and trying to eliminate that line is a pain so I simply paste that email in Pages and copy and paste it back in the new mail - or even simpler method is to copy the email text and paste it at the bottom of your new composition eliminating pages altogether.
