As long as the macs dont end up looking like Dells (black cases) I dont mind. Apple being Apple will obviously have a good way of making it unique :)

Yesterday Apple changed their corporative colors in their web, from the traditional silver that represented the alluminium of all their product line to a darker gray.

So... do you think this new color represents an all new liquidmetal age introducing it in next weeks with the new ipad?

Here you can see some pics of aluminum and liquid metal. You can see that colors and feelings matchs with what I'm saying:

Interesting observation. Could be.

Copypasta from the thread you posted since you felt the need to post this twice:

Hate to burst your bubble but the 'new' UI theme (I put that in quotation marks because it's already in iOS ie the lock screen, full screen video, etc.) matches the glass black bezels Apple has been putting around their products more than liquid metal.

How does gunmetal gray "match" black glass bezels?

First of all, liquidmetal isn't "gunmetal grey". The image pedrofan posted is in no way shape or form relevant to what liquidmetal actually looks like. Just have a look at Apple's sim ejector tool:
apple-liquidmetal-sim-ejector-pin.jpg

Or the image that the company who outsources it posts for their alloy image:
con_technology_blend.jpg

Or how about an image of a liquidmetal watch:

In fact, I can't even find the original image pedrofan posted, and from the looks of it it seems as though he just posted random alloy bars (likely titanium or aluminum) then darkened it. You can tell the image he posted is darkened from the artifacts and color other than the metal in the image.

Lastly, everyone seems to be ignoring that this UI is nothing new as already in iOS making this whole liquidmetal argument even worse.

It's quite nice. I prefer the new navigation bar, but I prefer the previous Mac selection slider box, although this spring-loaded animation isn't too bad.

I believe this is a clue.

An alegorical clue that Apple is goin liquid metal and I now believe the new MBPs will have dark options.
