So, just left Best Buy looking at the 11" air, I was going to buy the new ipad2, but think the air is a better way to go for me.. My question is the floor model only had 8.6gb free. It was the 64gb model... Is that right? Does the os take up that much space? Just wondering on a new out of the box 64gb how much free space is available???

That's strange, free space should have been well in to the 50's
You should get one, I just got my 11" in the mail yesterday, it's awesome, though I fear I won't be using my iMac that much anymore!!
