Upgraded to 6.34. Working on a P6900 and will update with TPF/PPD once I complete a few steps.

Update:
ETA: 1d 12h 54min, TPF: 22:22, PPD: 58165, Credit: 90324

I look like this now ~~~> :D

I'm now at 81k PPD with my 2 GPU and 1 SMP clients. The 970 was an awesome upgrade.

nice! what is the overclock right now?

I've been running at 4.2ghz. My volts are very good too at 1.26, I did manage 4.4 @ 1.27v but wasn't stable enough under my current cooling. I upgraded the mobo to an Asus Rampage III Extreme and upgraded the PSU to a TX850 Corsair. I'm getting my old 1600w Ultra X3 replaced with the X4 and will probably run that as I want to add more GPUs to my system, more than likely 2 more 460s.

Interesting how the 970 @ 4.2 is about 4-5 min faster than the 2600k @ 4.5 on the same WU.

edit: Forgot that it was a hexacore :)

Wow never heard of that! Google found this, Zotac GTX 460x2.

Yeah that would be so nice to have SLI 460 on one card. It's a very good card in SLI anyways. I only purchased the 768mb versions, the 460x2 comes with 2gb.

6 cores makes a difference. It'll be a while before I upgrade to the next gen as this rig will keep me happy for years.

Yeah I just recently heard about the 460 x2. Should be great for folding though.

Yeah if I can a 970 hexa core, I wouldn't worry about upgrading either. I'm not saying I'll upgrade, but I do wanna see the newer 6 and 8 core chips out though

Well that was 6 months ago they released the info on the 460x2 but I haven't seen any that has hit the market.

Oh, good news.

That faulty x3 1600w PSU I had, well I called them up and they shipped me a brand new in box x4 1600w PSU :D.

They did screw up and sent me a 600w lol which I have to send back and I did have to put a deposit on both but I'll get a refund once I ship them both back, the 600w and faulty 1600w.

All these people that claim Ultra to be ****** products, they do have excellent customer service and are based in my state so shipping was fast :D.

This X4 is pretty cool. It offers short circuit protection and now comes with an extra 8 and 6 pin PCIe connections so a total of 3 each.

Just found a guy locally selling a full watercooled 980x and tri sli 480s complete system for $1200. Ramage III Extreme + crap load more. This could easily bring me up to around 175-200k PPD with just 2 boxes

So long Macbook Pro/OSX :p I'll still have iOS :)

That is an incredible deal!

Not a fan of the lighting though, I prefer my systems to be nice and clean and unobtrusive.

Thought I would post my folding setup as I have a computer on loan for a few months:

Folding with:

Rig 1:
-AMD Phenom x4 945 overclocked to 3.75ghz
-Currently saving up for a 460gt or something (suggestions?)

Rig 2:
-Laptop
-Intel i7 Q720 at 1.6ghz
-Nvidea mobile 220 or something like that.

Rig 3:
-Intel i7 920 at 2.8ghz
-Nvidea 280gtx
-This one is on loan and I cannot overclock it :(

Bummer that you can't overclock that 920. You could do some bigadv units. I do wonder what that chip would be capable off. Those 920s are overclocking beasts.

How's that laptop folding?

I do recommend the gtx 460s. They are an excellent running card with lower temps and power consumptions. I've always wanted to buy a kill-a-watt to test out what my rig pulls on full and idle.

For the laptop FahMon indicates between 750-950 PPD (with out bonus) from my CPU which is rougly a 2300 point WU with bonus every 12 hours or 4600 PPD :) Low power and a speed demon for a laptop I reckon!

When I did folding@home on a computer I did it on an 1.42 ghz eMac, nothing compared to what you guys use now :p but it was the only thing I had at the time.

Right now I use my PS3 running 24/7 as my folding machine.

I've never been big on Folding@home, I'd rather donate money or my time to an organization (I'm not bashing Folding@Home though, I think it's a great thing, it just doesn't interest me personally).

Quick questions - How does folding with multiple GPU in a rig work? Do you use one GPU client and all the GPUs fold that one WU faster or do you use a GPU client for each card?

What a beautiful sight this is. I think I got a tear in my eye  lol

She'll be back online before the end of the weekend, router/Internet issues.

Wow!

One question, are you using just the one PSU? I'm guessing you'll be running it pretty close to the limit for 24*7, especially if the cards are OCed.

Good luck!
Rob

I will be using my 1600w, 1200w till I run a dedicated 20amp outlet :p

My 850 corsair has no problems handling 3 OC'd 460s and OC'd 970.

twoodcc may I ask if any of your setups have gone down?

Output of the team has gone down lately :(

My 24 hour average dropped in half but I'm back running. Next week or two will be off/on for me as I've been moving my stuff but once I finish my bathroom I'll be moved into my house and will be folding away non stop. I'm up to around 90-100k right now so hopefully that'll jump start things some more.
