When turning on a windows named Terminal - pops up, what is it and how do I stop it?

Any ideas guys? In the "terminal -bash 80x24 window" its has some stuff that says:

macbook-air:~ macbookair$ 50:20 on console



I always have to close it out when turning on.

When you say delete, do you mean remove the program? I apologize for the newb question. But can you type how? Thanks!
