Ok so love to get the NEC, Lacia, $1000+ stuff but is no way can do it right now. I need something under $500 even under $400 better.

I am running a MBP 13" i5 2011 model. I need external monitor to connect to. I am doing Lightroom, Photoshop, and photography editing and retouching on it. I like to keep around 24" as had an iMac 2008 model that was 24" and seemed good size. I have ColorMunki to calibrate with.

What do you guys have or recommend that wont break the bank?

Dell and HP have some good, yet inexpensive IPS displays. For the best colors, you definitely want something else than TN panel and IPS is one of the best. Take a look at their web sites.

I am also looking for a monitor in the same price range for my 15' MBP. Any good monitors out there that have a couple USB ports like the cinema display?

I paid $550 (w/shipping) for my silver 23" Cinema Display on eBay a couple years ago - if you don't have to have the latest & greatest, you might want to look into that option. If you can stand a slightly smaller display, I've seen the 20" of the same series at considerably lower prices (under $300).

Just got the Dell U2410. I highly recommend it!

I wanted to get this one, but $169 for Samsung 2333T cPVA monitor 23" will do for now. Maybe few months or if good deal comes along on some of the $500+ monitors Ill upgrade.

I used colormunki to calibrate it, so far so good.

I agree the Dell UltraSharp 24" good monitor. but I went with something not TN, and 23" Samsung 2333T worked out well for $169. Ill deff keep eye out for 24" Dell sales, and when get some more money will upgrade. But aleast got something for now to edit on.
