I'm having a bit of a problem accessing certain sites. I keep getting an error message that says "Safari cant connect to the server" when I'm trying to access sites that I frequently go to (for example, Facebook). I thought it might be a problem with the firewall on my wireless router, so I tried from a different location (school wi-fi), but I still can't access the sites all the time. Sometimes the sites work, sometimes they don't. I tried using a different browser (Firefox)...no luck. I tried calling my ISP and they walked me through tons of troubleshooting and told me it was something wrong with the settings on my computer. I've reset Safari, emptied the cache, deleted the cookies...still no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I haven't removed and reinstalled Safari yet because I figured it wouldn't matter since the other browsers don't work. Any pointers? I'm on a MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.6.7, Safari Version 5.0.4.
Thanks everyone!
