It was 50 bucks at best buy. It does have those two tabs on the back, they help hold up iPad while you have it on the two viewing angles. I'll take more pics when I get home. It's extremely thin and I like that aspect of the case.

Thanks for the pictures. The typing angle looks a tad too high from that picture, is there a way to lower it a little more? It should be at the smart cover's angle or even lower IMO.

Found this one on eBay, looks like the old Apple iPad Cover design but with the Smart Cover, description says it has magnets. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380330550753

Another option I saw in this thread is the Smart Blazer 2.

Nice custom work on the Book Jacket btw, I was thinking about customizing mine but wanted to keep the sleek look. I'm still debating between the Magazine Jacket and the one I just posted above. I just recently bought the TPU Companion in grey with the grey Smart Cover too, but I want two different kinds of cases.

I thought the Smart Cover felt too low for typing, this looks perfect. I have large hands so maybe it depends on hand size. Just tracked my magazine jacket and it's coming today a day early, that's always a nice surprise. :)

The higher angle might be better for viewing on a low desk, but for typing you really want something as flat as the apple Mac keyboards, unless you want to kill your wrists...

Yeah I don't know, it doesn't seem to bother me. As it is I prop mine up now with my Incase book jacket because it doesn't feel high enough. Probably a preference and again I think hand size plays into it a bit. It feels more natural to have my fingers higher.

Yes I will post a review/comparison of this and the Incae bookjacket.

Still nothing at my local bestbuy and apple stores. For those who have picked one up, how much bulk does it add to the device? Hopefully no where near as much as the book jacket, which was a deal breaker for me.

Elastic band

This case is nothing like the Book Jacket, not even close. It's like a sheet of paper compared to that case. :)

Well mine arrived...aaaand it doesn't fit with my matte Wrapsol skin on the back of my iPad. I really don't think I'm going to remove the Wrapsol so PM me if you're interested in this, I may just let it go for a good price.

Hi Ferris,

Thanks for posting. I received mine yesterday and the elastic band is installed wrong so I can't use it at all. See pic. Please check to see if yours came like that too. I'll be returning mine for replacement.

Um, I'm pretty sure you just have to flip the band so it wraps around the front...

Yeah the band works great for keeping the flap closed on the front (yours looks right, just pull it up and over), it doesn't keep the flap strapped to the back at all which I find annoying. I can't stand having a big flap to babysit. The bookjacket you could strap it to the back and front. Still a nice looking, thin case

OK thanks for verifying. Yea I thought the strap also could be used for securing the back. I guess no need to return now.

lol Yes. The Incase Book Jacket and Incase Magazine Jacket are like night and day. I was able to get the case on with the skin on the back, I just gave up a little too easy earlier as I was in a rush. With a little push it went over the corner fine and comes off ok.

I really like how thin this case feels, compared to the Book Jacket it's feels like nothing. With that being said the protection is also not nearly what the Book Jacket offers. I'll use the Book Jacket when I plan on taking my Ipad out for an extended time, and the Magazine Jacket at home. This is not a case for people who want maximum protection by any means, it's more like a feather type case. Decent, but not something you should be dropping too much. It does cover the corners well though.

Like already mentioned it does pick up a little palm sweat, but nothing too bad. Easily wiped, it's because the the material is a rubbery type. It feels nice though and really good in the hand even with the flap not being strapped.

Here are some pics, so far I'm really happy with this case. I'm trying to figure out how to add a magnet to it now.

The book jacket has a leather border around the Ipad, plus a gap created by that border so that the flap doesn't ever touch the screen. On the magazine jacket the flap covers the screen like a smart cover, so if I were to put a magnet right on there it would close on the screen, not good. There has to be a way though. :)

Typing on it feels great and it's very sturdy in it's 2 stand modes. The bars on the back to support the stand aren't really intrusive in any way, it still sits flat and you really don't have your hand on that area when you hold the Ipad.

Here are some pics, not great using an Iphone4/flash

Yeah there's no way to add a magnet to this, unless you want to add it to the front of the cover, it works that way. It also looks a little weird with a magnet on the outside of the front cover.

Does the flap lay flat on the back when it's opened?

Pretty much, there is a slight gap with those 2 pieces but not as much as you would expect. When held it feels flat against the back.

Edit: It actually has a slight curve feel to it the way those 2 support things make it stick out in the middle, then taper at each side.

It's up a little on the right side because my hand isn't holding it, normally you would have your hands on both sides and it would look flat.

Thanks one more question if I may. I want to put a skin on the back and a screen protector would it bubble. Because I'm realizing that if I get the STM the fibers are going to fray like in the pics the person uploaded

I have a wrapsol matte on the back and no screen protector yet, but it wouldn't cause a front shield to bubble at all, doesn't come up to the actual screen. At first I didn't think it fit, then I just gave the one stubborn corner a little push and it caught on the lip of the case just fine.

YMMV depending on what type of skin you use, not sure how others compare in thickness to a wrapsol matte skin.

And how are the standing positions stable or wobbly if I were to touch the screen in said modes
