ABC News reports that Apple CEO Steve Jobs has agreed to participate in a book about his life.
Simon & Schuster announced Sunday that Walter Isaacson's "iSteve: The Book of Jobs" will be published in early 2012. Isaacson has been working on the long-rumored biography since 2009 and has interviewed Jobs, members of his family, colleagues at Apple and competitors.
The official biography will be called "iSteve: The Book of Jobs" and is written by Walter Isaacson. While many books have been published about Jobs' life, this is the first with his official approval. Isaacson has previously written best-selling biographies of Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.

While it had previously been revealed that Jobs was allowing Isaacson to work on the book, the name and 2012 release date were just announced.

I enjoy books on business icons and this will be a must read. One of my favorite leadership books is Creating Magic by Lee Cockerell, EVP Disney Operations.

I don't want to read too much into this, but it's still upsetting that Steve Jobs' health is in bad shape. That being said, I can't wait to read this.

So Steve is finally doing something like giving a biography the OK. Must be thinking about his legacy.

Very cool. Perhaps it will finally settle some questions about steve's thought process and private life. I hate how so many stupid assumptions are made vacuously here and presented as fact.

He'll probably only tell half the story and you'll have to buy the updated edition to hear it all.

Not a good sign, not a good sign... Last time he talked about his personal life was ...in 2005, after he was diagnosed to have a rare form of pancreatic cancer? And now he is telling us everything about himself...

I really hope that he will be healthy and lead Apple to another decade of success.
