Ok, I know that there's already a thread regarding this app, but it offers no details and it was created to clarify some technical doubts the OP had.

This tweak was created by WyndWarrior and I came across it by accident, while I was checking the latest change logs in Cydia.

You can find the app in Cydia in the modmyi repo.
Here's the direct link the thread in their forum:
PerPageHTML thread in modmyi.com

What can this app do? Basically:

- allows you to place one or more widgets PER SPRINGBOARD PAGE!
- does NOT use WinterBoard
- if the widget is correctly designed, you can choose the wallpaper from the camera roll (those of you with iOS 4.2.1 know what I mean!)
- it does NOT work in the LockScreen
- it does not (yet) support interactive widgets

So, let's say you have 3 pages in your springboard. With this app, in the first you can place the weather, in the second you can place a Facebook RSS and in the third you can place the calendar. They can each have their own wallpaper or, if the widget is designed properly, it can allow you to choose your wallpaper from the camera roll.

I do love the widgets I find in this forum (specially the one's from LEX :D ), but it does drive me crazy that I have to use iFile everytime I want to change the background pic. With this app, it's that simple: I can choose which widgets to place where I want them and I don't need to worry about a specific sequence (like with WinterBoard)!

Here's some screenshots:

Moving between the 1st and 2nd page

img1292.png

The 1st page has the wallpaper I chose from the camera roll, the 2nd page uses a wallpaper defined by the widget.

2nd page of SB, widget wallpaper, UniAWv3 widget

3rd page of SB, user wallpaper, calendar widget

My 1st page, once I place the icons back to order :)

If I open a folder, the widget is not visible

If you decide to give this app a try, I would recommend you also download the following widgets from Cydia (designed for PerPageHTML):

Facebook Widget for PerPageHTML
HTC Weather Animated PerPageHTML

KNOWN ISSUES: Barrel does not work good with this app. There is also one user that in the thread above complained about issues with a LockInfo theme. Since I don't have either of them, I can't confirm or deny.

AND OUR WIDGET MASTERS: could you please, please take a look into this and see if it's useful for you and for us? :D Thank you! :)

TUTORIAL SECTION

OK, in this section I'll try to put tutorials, links and short guides to add a widget to this tweak. Let's start with:

WIDGET BLUE SQUARE created by LEXS1411.
You can find lots of amazing widgets posted in this thread:
Post your Jailbroken Home Screen (Part 2)

Here's the download link for this widget:
DOWNLOAD

Extract the files from the zip and, using iFile or any other program, put the folder in /var/mobile/Library/PerPageHTML. Make sure that folder you just added has the name in ONE string (no blanks in the name of the folder)!!

Edit the Widget.html file and remove (delete) the following lines (right at the beginning of the file):

<div id="Layer"><img src="Wallpaper.png" class="stretch"/></div>
<div id="Layer"><img src="OverlayHD.png" class="stretch"/></img></div>

You are done. Close iFile and go to your HomeScreen. Mine looks like this:

IMG_1304.png

Open the PerPageHTML tweak and select the widget you just installed and place on page 1 (in this screenshot it's the one named "BottomDateWeather", which is easier to memorize).

IMG_1313.png

Once you are done, close the PerPageHTML. Your phone will now respring automatically. And once it's back up, it should now show this:

IMG_1305.png

Go to camera roll and double check if you can select your own wallpaper.

*****************************************************

I'll add tutorials for other widgets very soon.

Why would you need so much weather info and clocks?

You missed the point! :)

I personally only use the 1st page of the SB. But this app has two big advantages:

1-) it does not need WinterBoard to install widgets
2-) it allows you to choose your wallpaper from the camera roll

And for those of us which are in iOS 4.2.1, these are two BIG advantages.

Were you also able to install those icons without Winterboard?

The icons are from Glasklart HD. It was the first (and only theme) I've used after the JB. At the time I had to use WinterBoard, but I'll now check BackBoard, which has an easier process to apply themes, including a backup and revert to backup option!

I installed this app and I installed the HTC weather animated, but I can't find out a way to change the weather location. Please help!!!

Go to Yahoo Weather and look for your city. Once you have the weather results, click the link that says "Extended Weather". In the new page, check the URL for the code. For example, if you look for "Zurich, CH", the URL will start with:

http://www.weather.com/weather/extended/SZXX0033

What you need is the code after "extended/", in the above example SZXX0033.

Now you need to go and edit the configureMe.js file. I use iFile for this.

The file is in /var/mobile/Library/PerPageHTML/HTC folder.

In the line that starts with "var locale =" you put in your city code. For example, if you live in London UK, the line should look like this:

var locale = "UKXX085"

Hope this helps. :)

But do you still have WinterBoard running in the background? I tried to install Backboard but it came bundled with WinterBoard.

True. You have to remember that this tweak is NOT a theme management, it's for themes and settings backup. I'll create a detail thread on this tomorrow.

I'll add details tomorrow, using one of LEX's widget as an example.

Great, it would be awesome if you could link to the HTC Weather Widget, Calendar, and 7 day forecast widgets.

Questions:

Can you space them precisely anywhere on the lockscreen?

Can you have more than one widget per screen (7 day forecast and calendar would be sweet)

And is there a Twitter widget!?

No, no, and no. At least not yet. ;)

+1

You know, one clock per screen is more than enough for me. To each his own. Personally that clock widget on the spotlight page looks like @#$%@#

Maybe someone just needs to do a better job of demonstrating this hack?

It is nice to see the per page wallpaper hack return. We lost that some time ago.

Yes, yes, I'll put in a little tutorial. And I keep saying that, for me, the best part of this tweak is that you can define the wallpaper from the camera roll, something which was impossible in iOS 4.2.1 if you had a widget installed. Of course I don't plan to have 10 pages in the SB, each with his own widget.

And yes, per page wallpaper is also possible.

Sweet! Now I don't need to have that HTC widget on everypage. Quick question: Can anyone show me to how to change the clock for HTC Weather Animated widget to 24-hour (not the HD one, I can't seem to get that one to work on my 3GS)?

EDIT: Never mind. I found it in the Widget.html file. I was only looking in the configureMe.

for some reason i cannot get any widgets working that aren't prepackaged with the tweak.

i downloaded the twitter and HTC widgets and neither worked, but they did disable the icons that were 'beneath'

Xhita, how did you remove the swipe pages on your phone? and place folders within folders to open as entirely new pages? is there a cydia app for this? it looks really clean.

Ive installed the HTC Animated Weather widget on my 3GS, but there is no animation. Was I wrong to assume that it would work on something other than the 4?
