Curious as to why.....battery drain, etc in your experience?

I did not notice any battery drain but preferred it without the animation as the clouds, moon etc gets in the way of the clock.

Also I noticed that it used up more ram with the animation and slowed things down just a little when unlocking my screen.

However it worked well /perfect without the animations and I did not experience slowdown.

I wan't too keen on the little things like when you double click your home button to bring up the iPod controls, the default clock is displayed above the HTC Clock.

Also the battery is not displayed when you plug it into the mains.

I was new to jailbreaking and very keen with customizing my phone with new sliders, tap to unlock, icons, lockscreens etc but now I actually prefer the professional and sleek look of the stock setup with minimal and functional tweaks such as Lockinfo, SBSettings, Weathericon, Liveclock, PhotoAlbums+ etc.

Wow, that looks awesome. Thank you very much.

Now I'm assuming that there needs to be a night time version of that wallpaper in order to replicate your first post? Thanks again for the help.

I have updated the thread above (#94) with a night version but the quality is not so good :(

Yes, I used to get that too but only for a split second as it is trying to get the weather data. It used to pi*s me off so I edited the code to display a blank image as default until the correct weather image loaded.

EDIT: This is what you need to do:

1. Make a backup copy of LockBackground.html
2. Open LockBackground.html and search for: <img id="weatherIcon" src=""
3. Replace src="" with src="../blank.png"
4. Copy attached blank.png image to the root of the HTC Theme (same folder as LockBackground.html)
5. Respring and say goodbye to the stupid box

Note: You won't be able to see the attached image as it is 'blank' - just right click and save.

fantastic job LMD! that worked like a charm! thank you

One last issue ive found...

has anyone here had the issue where the wallpaper doenst change to the night wallpaper, maybe i misread, does the lockscreen wallpaper change for day/night? mine shows the grass and water 'stock' one for the day, and at night stays the same.
If i want to change out the wallpapers the Plugin is using how do i change them out? im not talking about using 'my own' wallpaper from settings, im asking how to swap out which wallpapers the HTC Plugin is using. maybe this is related to the day night issue.

what would be nice is just having the animation. NO HTC clock. NO weather indicator. Just the animation of the weather with your custom background. No text, no nothing

Somehow the wallpapers started working day / night. Was never able to locate where to swap them out but at least it's all working now.

After playing with the code.

I was able to create a version that doesn't have the clock, but just the animated sequence and temperature values so its very clean and elegant. See if you guys like it.

Another question I have is does this really drain the battery that much. Im curious.

In my very anticdotal trials I believe I'm losing about an hour of total battery. I'm down to 7 from 8 hours of typical usage after installing this and winterboard to run it. But I enjoy the lock screen.

Is this with the animations? You can configure it to update less often.

Mine is not animated

I installed HTC weather widget as well as HTC weather animated perpage.

Wheather and Temperature are qutie right on them.

But neither of them is animated.

It has something to do with my ios4.3.2 jailbreak iphone4?

Hey all new here and 1st post. i've jailbroken my 3gs, installed numerous themes and have the "htc widget 1.7" installed. i've been reading and reading and still can't seem to find the answer to my question so here goes...

...I'm running with a macbook pro, i have "iphone explorer" and all i wanna do is change the location. i keep reading that all i have to do is "edit configureMe.js" BUT the problem i'm running into is that i CANNOT change/edit the file. i 2x click on it and nothing happens; i single click on it but it just gives me the option to rename the file; i've tried to "right click" on the file but nothing happens and there's no "edit" under the "File" column of the iphone explorer prog.

anyone with some insight on my conundrum please let me know. Thanks!

I don't think this has been brought up but has anyone noticed that notifications (SMS/Push) they are higher up on the lockscreen when they first appear, but if you leave them and you let the "5 min reminder" ring, it's in the correct spot. It's kinda weird but overall good lockscreen. Battery drain is rather significant, I am now testing it without the animation.

Also to note, the clock doesn't stay updated. If you lock your phone for a while and then hit the home button you'll notice the iPhone time is ahead and the android time will be behind but then very quickly update itself. Maybe I'm OCD but that bugs me a lot cuz I think the time just turned everytime I unlock my phone.

The battery decrease, ram increase, notification and clock bugs on top of it being SD make this "cute," it was a good try but a no go for me.

This is a picture of my home screen as well. Although, if you combine this with infiniti docks, then it scrolls slow for page 1 but page 2 and beyond is fine because there is no animation on those pages

Dammit Cubs - that helped me in more ways than one. Thanks! :D

hahaha glad to be of service.

Anyways, anyone who wants to know how I was able to remove some of the elements, just let me know and I'll post some sample code.

I want to show my own wallpaper so i set showBackground to "true" and I overwrote the LockBackground.png file with my wallpaper but I am just getting a blank black wallpaper. Any suggestions on how I can show my own image?
