Just bought a new Mac Mini. First time Mac user.

Downloaded the newest version of ITunes.

When I open ITunes to try to import there is no menu at the top like I'm used to seeing on my PC. No "File." Nothing.

Any ideas?

Look at the very top of your screen. That's the Menu Bar. In Mac OS X, it stays at the top of the screen and changes, depending on which app is active, as opposed to Windows, where it's attached to the app's window.

How long does it take to get out of Windows mode mentally?

If you commit to reading some and learning your way around the Mac, it won't take that long. Just realize that some things work differently on a Mac, but the basic concepts are still there. Read the link I posted. There's a lot of helpful resources there.
