Yeah, I use that stuff for my PC and Keyboard. Btw, has yours gone guey? After about two months of use, the putty has gone much more sticky and oozy. Should I buy a new pack? My room is relatively warm all the time, could this be affecting it?

use needle to remove dirt and corrosion in the port..better off the phone before doing it.

I use a toothbrush + 99% isopropyl alcohol. Usually it doesn't set off the LSI, but just to be safe, don't use isopropyl alcohol if your phone is still under warranty.
