The new login screen is hideous.
I'd prefer something like this:

That's so awesome.
It goes with the glossy OS inside.
But really, to each, their own.
Love the new welcome screen feels a bit quicker to me keep it up Apple I'm starting to get excited about Lions release
The new loginwindow doesn't offer the text above the username box. With previous version of OS X, you can click through it and see the version, build number, time, IP address, etc. It is extremely helpful in educational environment. Hopefully, it will be added in later seed. Of course, Apple may go back to the current style loginwindow.

That has been in OS X as long as I can remember. It signifies being in a folder where the current user does not have write permissions. Usually the easiest way to replicate it would be to go to into the System folder.

This is the login screen when you lock your screen. It plays the default screen saver.
That is muchhhh nicer. Just add the time and date to a corner, and wow!

Otherwise it seems they fixed quite a lot of crashes in Mail, Safari and finally Launchpad doesn't restore emptied folders. Waiting for GM.

Thanks so much! I'm tempted to upgrade my air to Lion but the Mac Pro is gonna have to wait until I can test all my other software

That one looks like a screen saver. The user has to read a line of text before they even have a clue what to do. Typical Microsoft 'design'.
Yeah and what's with the press CTRL + ALT + DEL to log in, why can't I just click my user icon? You don't have to press CMD + OPT + ESC on a Mac to login either.
The feeling's mutual, hopefully Apple will change this on the next update.
My update just finished downloading, brb, reboot.
Edit: In reality, it's not that bad. I kind of like it.

Drat, four finger swipe down for application Expose is gone.
Weird, now there's no quick gesture to trigger it anymore.
Anybody know why they would have removed that?

Preview 2-finger Scrolling
Has anyone tried 2 finger scrolling through a PDF document in Preview? It is giving me the weirdest results. If I scroll fast enough, it will scroll normally, but slow scrolling does like a "page push off stack" animation. Even worse, it is skipping information if you don't have the entire page in view! Can anyone confirm they have this issue as well?

ctrl-alt-delete is an interrupt that cannot be caught by any user software. Only the system will be notified. It's simply a saftey mechanism very much needed in Windows.
I'm still unsure about Lion. The one and only reason for doubt is the lack of Rosetta.
You can change the settings and just do like that. W7 aint that bad sir. Although, windows is.
