I'm really starting to get pissed off with my mac! Not too long ago when I was in Google Chrome it kept freezing like crazy! It froze up my whole system to were I had to do a hard restart! So I figured it was my internet. The next day I switched to safari.. Had the same problem.. Switched to Firefox, and guess what.. Had the same problem but with Firefox it only freezes when I am on YouTube's homepage! I don't get it! Please help!

Does it only lock up when browsers are open?

If so, remove K9 blue coat and try browsing again.

If the lockups go away, you've found the cause.

I would try removing the software and see if that works. If it doesn't, you can call Apple up, or backup your files and Apps, and do a fresh install of the OS. I've done this about 3 times on my Macbook Pro within the last year because it frees up space, gets rid of problems, and it feels like you just purchased a new machine (for about an hour or two) :D

thanks! but..

This may sound weird but when I got blue coat I typed in a random password and deleted the password file because I was afraid I would get temped into porn as I got older lol :p Should I just call blue coat and ask for it to be deleted?
