Hey there, I've not got round to downloading iOS 5 off Apple Developer yet as my MacBooks away for a repair. My question is about how notifications work with iMessage ... is there a notification sent to every device that is configured to receive such messages, and if so, can the notification be disabled on a "per App" basis? My Dad uses my iPad a lot too, and I don't want him seeing my notifications if one pops up.

Thanks for your time =]

You can go into settings and remove all notifications of a new message so unless he goes into your Messages app, he shouldn't be bothered by popups.

That's brilliant, thank you very much for your reply =] I don't think he goes into my e-mail or anything so as long as the notifications can be disabled that will be great.

Thanks again!
