Creating a new @me.com email address

Hi All

New here, so please be gentle

I was wondering when I would be able to create an @me.com email address. Will it be when iOS5 is released and iCloud available?

Basically, yes. I think developers running the iOS 5 beta can create them now but everyone else will have to wait until the official launch of iCloud and iOS 5.

I've just made the switch from Windows to a MacBook. I'll continue to use my hotmail until I can create a me.com address.

I too want to switch to a .me, though I think .mac was a cooler domain.

And this will be free to do, right?

Unfortunately you won't be able to get a .mac address but your new .me one will be free.

is it possible to create/reserve more than one adress this way? me + girlfriend?

Yes you can. Simply create another account.

how? my girlfriend already has an apple-account and the new @me address should of course be associated with her apple-ID
