So I have a 2007 MacBook with an OS X 10.4.11, Intel duo 2, 1GB memory and it seems that I'm so outdated that iTunes 10 won't even install, which also means I cannot sync my iPhone. So, I'm wondering if I should upgrade my computer to another OS and which. At this point, I'm still a student and won't be able to buy a new laptop for at least another year. Do you recommend an upgrade and if yes, what would be the best cost/benefit option?

Thanks!

Yeah upgrade the ram I have 4GB installed in my 2007 Macbook but it can only use 3GB which is about what I use. Anything less would bring down my machine to a crawl. I also just installed Lion and it's working well. Snow Leopard was the best OS I have used. At least upgrade to that and you will be happy. I think I'm going to hold out another year and upgrade to a MBA.
