I want a clean install of iTunes without reinstalling the entire system. How can this be done? I tried to move iTunes to the trash, but I get an error that says iTunes cannot be deleted or modified because it's required by Mac OS X.

Hi kraig,
1/ download/install "AppCleaner.app"
2/ hold 'control' + left click on 'iTunes' app, choose "Move to trash"
you'll get window showing you all the items being removed (thru 'AppCleaner')
un-mark the items you DON'T want to be removed (like iTunes lib.).
3/ download new iTunes app (or old one if you wish)
4/ install...
