This is crazy, I hope those living in the rioting areas are okay and the local shop owners don't go out of business or lose a home because a bunch of looters (not protestors in my own opinion) decided to burn em down.

Apple store, upper west side

Natural lighting? Heaven forbid!

Also, I didn't know the the Upper West Side Apple Store was their common design? Here I thought it was relatively unique.

But you keep moving those goal posts.

Dont get me wrong I am a complete Apple fan BUT Im sick of people worrying about the Apple Store. In all seriousness you are worrying about one store, owned by a company which currently has more cash that the US. Fixing the Apple store in London would be pocket change for Apple. SO Forget the Apple Store... Seriously!

Be more worried about the lives of residents, livelihood of small business owners and the masses of people who have lost their homes. Many of these people will not have the money to put it right unlike the huge corportations.

This is all making the UK look really really bad.
We have nothing to riot about tbh, most of the rioters are just looting and joining in for fun.
When asked why they're rioting they say they aren't getting enough back from the government.
The UK is one of the most mundane and fair countries in the world and definately one of the best places to be poor, this is pathetic.

Quote from Sky News: 'The worst affected parts of this street are The Carphone Warehouse and Currys Digital'
Says it all doesn't it.

The best behinds the scene story that I heard about this is that this is part of a year long operation to clean up the city in time for the London Olympics next year.

While they say it was an "innocent" shot dead, some say he was a patsy for gang to start up trouble since they lost their usual business over the cleaning up of the town for the Olympics. These riots are a backlash and a social purging.

Another thing, I find it incredibility disturbing how calm British Media can be during the biggest tragedies. Even during The Blitz, the BBC never had a break in their straight professional voice as the buzz bombs were dropping.

'Slight damage to Kensington lock area'
A phrase that may become common for MBP/MBA eBay listings in the Bristol area!

Reminds me of the Los Angeles riots. Police completely surrounded the crappy neighborhoods, so they could only riot in their own neighborhoods. The "nicer" parts of town were more or less untouched. Gotta love the priorities.

The priorities make total sense to me. Let the morons burn down their own neighborhoods if their so inclined.

These events are all very sad but to be honest the UK has been on the brink of this for sometime. :(
Only so many cuts and taxes can be imposed before terrible things like this happen!
As for humour displayed here....if I didnt laugh at it I may just cry.....with the help of a Mr Gillette and J Daniels.

I don't even know where to start with how offensively ignorant this post is.

You mean morons like this?

April 29th, 1992 by Sublime:

I don't know if you can,
but can you get an owner for Ons,
that's O-N-S,Junior Market,
the address is 1934 East Aneheim,
all the windows are busted out,
and it's like a free-for-all in here
and uh the owner shouldat least come
down here and see if he can secure his business,
if he wants to...

April 29th, 1992,
there was a riot on the streets,
tell me where were you?
You were sittin' home watchin' your TV,
while I was paticipatin' in some anarchy.

First spot we hit it was my liqour store.
I finally got all that alcohol I can't afford.
With red lights flashin' time to retire,
And then we turned that liquor store into a structure fire.

Next stop we hit it was the music shop,
It only took one brick to make that window drop.
Finally we got our own p.a.
Where do you think I got this guitar that you're hearing today?
Hey!

(call fire, respond mobil station.
alamidos in Anahiem,
its uhh flamin up good.
10-4 Alamidos in Anaheim)

Never doin no time

When we returned to the pad to unload everything,
It dawned on me that I need new home furnishings.
So once again we filled the van until it was full,
since that day my livin' room's been more comfortable.

Cause everybody in the hood has had it up to here,
It's getting harder and harder and harder each and every year.

Some kids went in a store with thier mother,
I saw her when she came out she was gettin some pampers.

They said it was for the black man,
they said it was for the mexican,
and not for the white man.

But if you look at the streets it wasn't about Rodney King,
It's bout this ****ed up situation and these ****ed up police.
It's about coming up and staying on top
and screamin' 187 on a mother ****in' cop.
It's not written on the paper it's on the wall.
National guard??!
Smoke from all around,

bo! bo! bo!

(units, units be advised there is an attempt 211 to arrest now at 938 temple,
938 temple... 30 subjects with bags.. tryin to get inside the cb's house)

(as long as I'm alive, I'mma live illegal)

Let it burn, wanna let it burn,
wanna let it burn, wanna wanna let it burn

(I'm feelin' Sad and Blue)

Riots on the streets of Miami,
oh, Riots on the streets of Chicago,
oh, on the streets of Long Beach,
mmm, and San Francisco (Boise Idaho),
Riots on the streets of Kansas City
(Salt Lake, Hunnington Beach, CA),
Tuscaloosa Alabama (Arcada Clarkston Michigan),
Cleveland Ohio,
Fountain Valley (Texas, Barstow - Let's do this every year),
Bear Mountain, Vista View (Twice a Year),
Eugene OR, Eureka CA (Let it burn, let it burn),
Hesperia (Oh, ya let it burn, wont'cha wont'cha let it burn),
Santa Barbara,Cuyamca, Nevada, (let it burn)
Phoenix Arizona,
San Diego, Lakewood Florida, (let it burn)

In a post calling other people "morons", you should have noticed that instead of "their", the second use of the word should have been "they're".

Gotta hand it to the Vancouver Police here - shut down access into the riot area, gradually forced people to disperse.. They handled the riot pretty well, though they had officers with M16s, horses and tear gas... A lot more threatening looking than a guy with a billy club I'd imagine.

Hope they catch all these little assheads running around causing this. I mean they're literally rioting for the hell of it.

Thats how it should be let them destroy their own hoods.
