I spend many, many hours at school. Even with no class, just because of the internet difference. I can't stand my home connection.

I did a rerun, since the connection wasn't "warmed up" on the first try. And an above hundred looks nice, doesn't it...

It's supposed to be 110/5Mbps connection and I'm using it over wi-fi, so I'm satisfied. With 10€/month more I'd get 200/10, but the significant other said that that money should be spent buying something nice for the kid...

(We actually had the 200/10 for a while, since the service provider automatically upgrades the speed for the same price when the higher speed becomes available. But we downgraded it, since the 1st gen TC and early 2009 iMac couldn't handle it over wi-fi... Or even the 110 for the maximum capacity. It was mostly about the relative locations, older tech... Now I have the newest iMac and TC and it's just... Super!)

Guessing Virgin Media aren't hooked up in your area either? Sucks doesn't it!

I'm currently living with a friend up in Lincolnshire for a business startup. Our Broadband (if you can call it that!) is running on a 40 year old telephone line. Cant wait to get back to my 50Meg Virgin connection down in North London next month!

Don't get me wrong, I didn't interpret your post like that. There isn't a real contest (this isn't the goal of the thread), but obviously, the one with the fastest connection can be called the "winner".

It's just the way that my sentence was written, I guess.

No worries- sorry if I came off a bit harsh. Honestly my internet here doesn't seem that much faster than my FIOS at home (something like 25/15).

Nope, it's quite a nuisance. I'm waiting (read: waiting a long time) for this BT Infinity. Virgin media runs off the BT lines around here
