I have an iPhone 4 running iOS5 and I want to jailbreak and unlock it. When I try to use Redsnow and I'm supposed to do the steps to put it in DFU mode, I do the exact same thing it says to do, but it says it could not enter DFU mode. What should I do?

Honestly I would keep trying the steps, maybe even look at a video of someone doing it online. It took me quite some time to get it where I can do it reliably.

Make sure phone is plugged into a computer.

Hold down power for 3 seconds.

While holding power still, hold down home for 10 more seconds.

Let go of power button, continue holding home button.

Phone will enter DFU mode. If you did it right, iTunes will identify it and the iPhone screen will remain off/blank.
