Hey everyone,
I've been running iOS 5 for a few days now, and while I'm not a heavy texter, I can't tell if I'm having some serious issues with SMS messages. For example, yesterday I was in a perfectly good service area, and I didn't receive a reply message from someone for almost six hours. I didn't know this was the case until this morning when I was shown that the text was actually sent a few minutes after they got my first message. Yeah, I know that it could be their phone (and service levels), but I did a test case today as well.
Using Google Voice from my PC, I sent a text message to my Verizon phone number, and it took five minutes for my phone to receive it. To top it off I wasn't in a spotty service location either: I'm over fifteen miles away from where I was yesterday when the delay happened, AND I have five full bars of service.
So, my question to everyone else is: have you been having any significant issues with SMS on iOS 5?
