My mom watch a lot of video streaming- more than 6 hrs straight. should the ipad be charged while being connected to tv. Or should we wait till the battery drained before connecting d charger to the hdmi adapter? She fell asleep one time and the battery was really drained out. It took me a few hours of charging the ipad before there was any sign of battery life. I really thought that time my ipad had died.

Charging while connected to tv

Lithium ion batteries do not need to be drained then charged. Anybody who waits until their lithium ion battery is very low before recharging is wasting their time. That's for old ni-cad batteries.
