I like the default blue tiger desktop better than the default blue panther one. It's reminiscent of spotlights overleafing each other, or something...

Here is my Tiger desktop, sorted making my way through the Pictures to see which one I prefer but this ones not so bad

Dashboard has a "Developer Feature" that allows one to drag widgets and make them float on the Desktop.clayj said:
To activate the feature:
Type into the Terminal: defaults write com.apple.Dashboard devmode YES
Log out and Log in.
Launch Dashboard, click and hold down the desired Widget, then leave Dashboard.
To put the Widget back, simply click and hold down the Widget and go back into Dashboard mode.
