I keeping up the standard Tiger desktop for awhile, as a sign of respect. :p But, I'm also shuffling to this great desktop.

I like the default blue tiger desktop better than the default blue panther one. It's reminiscent of spotlights overleafing each other, or something...

Tiger

I went to the opening of Tiger last night at the NYC SoHo store, loaded it up while sitting in the theatre area.

How did you get that dashboard widget to stay on top?

Go into Dashboard, select one of the widgets, while dragging it press F12 to get rid of Dashboard and the widget will come through to the desktop

Yeah, but there are TWO widgets on the desktop in that screenshot. How did that happen?

Dashboard has a "Developer Feature" that allows one to drag widgets and make them float on the Desktop.

To activate the feature:

Type into the Terminal: defaults write com.apple.Dashboard devmode YES

Log out and Log in.

Launch Dashboard, click and hold down the desired Widget, then leave Dashboard.

To put the Widget back, simply click and hold down the Widget and go back into Dashboard mode.

Sorry for drifting off-topic. Anyone want to spin this off as a new thread?
